Get an introduction to a new online data site that is both powerful and user-friendly by taking part in this IEDA-sponsored webinar. The Rural Indiana Stats site is designed to provide individuals, leaders, organizations and agencies with access to nearly 70 county-level variables that can be used to guide local decision-making activities. The webinar will showcase innovative tools that individuals can use to maximize the value of this valuable online data site.
Data are captured under four key topics: (1) Geographic Typologies (such as metro/non-metro areas, the rural continuum codes, and the EDA distressed counties); (2) Housing Data (such as housing stock, physical features and occupancy characteristics; (3) Local Fiscal Information such as local government revenues and service costs; and (4) Socio-Economic Features (such as demographic, economic, and health-related characteristics); as well as OCRA’s Community Performance Indicators. Data are provided on all 92 counties in Indiana.
The Rural Indiana Stats is a product of the partnership of the Purdue Center for Regional Development and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).
