Question: What happens when Lee Lewellen and Peter Schubert, Director of the Lugar Center for Renewable Energy, have Thai food for lunch?

Answer: They think up the 'Good Questions Project,' a tool for local economic developers and elected officials to use when they are considering a new renewable energy project.

New energy projects across Indiana have raised concerns and questions. Sometimes this need is filled by fearmongers peddling misinformation. In some cases, citizens' reactions are strong enough that they stop communities from receiving tax benefits from utility-scale energy projects. Without advocating for or against, the Indiana Office of Energy Development sponsored the  Good Questions Project, undertaken by IEDA and the Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy.

The GQP gathered questions and concerns, studied the sources of information people have been using, and developed responses to some of the more challenging issues. Join us for a review of the GQP outcomes, including breakthrough discoveries and approaches with the potential to elevate discussions so that citizens can make their own choices from a fact-based foundation.
